Discovering the music of Bert, John and Pentangle when I was 15, how could I have dreamed that I would one day introduce Pentangle onstage! I had become a public radio producer and host of folk and traditional music and was asked to introduce them in Salt Lake City in the mid-1990s. Before the show, Bert sounded truly surprised and pleased when I told him how many years I'd been playing his music on the radio and how he had influenced my own musical journey. What a wonderful and humble person. Such an extraordinary musician. Such a fine musical collaborator.

I grew up into adulthood with bands like this. Listening to their music and watching the videos really bring me back to wonderful but also confusing times. 30 years later I see why they decided to walk away. They had that clarity to not risk their family and their relationship. They decided to be like the rest of us mortals, though now they are a little legendary 😊

Jesus he's hard to listen to and I've tried soooo hard! Saw him live twice and had to leave early both times. I love his studio recordings though.

What the blazes is he singing about? What language is that supposed to be? I can't understand a word. Unfortunately, former alcoholics often sound like they are still completely drunk when they are allegedly sober.
